The Rookie Card of one of the Most feared pitchers of his time and ace of the New York Yankees Pitching Staff once acquired from Cleveland in 1946. He was a star of a Yankee team that during his 8 year stint with the New Yorkers would be a part of 6 World Championships. In 1950, although pitching with bone chips in his right elbow, he won 16 games. The next year he became the first American League pitcher to have two no-hitters in one season. A Superb overall example with a crystal clear Image, Mint corners, and near perfect centering. This one easily could have been graded a Mint 9!
